Subject: District PTA Meetings

The first meeting of the Halifax PTA will take place in Oxford Street 
School Library on Monday, September 21st at 7:30.  Thereafter, meeting
 will be on the third Monday of every month.

The annual General Meeting will take place on Monday the 19th of October.
  The 1998-1999 executive will be elected at this time.  Nominations are 
being sought for the positions of co-chair and vice president.  All parents 
are encouraged to attend.

We are planning to have the school board members attend the November 16th 
meeting.  Any suggestions for topics for this meeting are welcome.  What 
would you like to ask them or tell them, for that matter?

We would remind you that dues for the year are $20 per school.  Cheques 
made out to The Halifax District PTA may be sent to PO Box 33042 Quinpool 
Road Post Office, Halifax, NS, B3L 4T6.  Hopefully, all of our member 
schools will be able to send representatives to this year's meetings.  
Please bear that in mind when you are polling parents to fill volunteer 
positions.
