Dear Mr. MacEachern:

We are pleased to present the written submission of the Halifax District PTA in response to your recently published white paper on restructuring the education system, "Education Horizons".

Halifax District PTA is an umbrella group representing the PTA's in all of the schools under the jurisdiction of the Halifax District School Board, as well as associated education interest groups. We believe in offering fair and contructive observations on matters affecting the education of our children, but more importantly, we also hold the view that we must work together towards developing solutions.

We respectfully ask that you take the time to consider the views expressed in the attached submission. We are more than willing to work constructively towards the improvement of our educational system. The executive of the association look forward to our scheduled meeting with you on April 26th.
