Once again it was the non-wearable aspect that grabbed me: After attending a lecture by weaver / sculptor Dawn McNutt, the idea of knitting with metal wouldn't leave me alone. I cast envious eyes on the fuse wire, but eventually settled in on motor winding wire. The needles have to be
extremely sharp in order to enter the stitches and protection is needed for
the fingers to avoid being sliced like a piece of cheese. All in all, it
isn't much fun to work with, but it is an interesting effect. What could be
done with intarsia, beads... how about light-catchers...?
